Checked baggage rules

If you have baggage to check in at the airport, please check it in at the baggage counter after baggage inspection.

Skis, golf bags, fishing equipment, archery equipment, surfboards, etc. can only be checked in if they can be loaded into the aircraft's cargo hold. The maximum length that can be loaded is 250cm.

From March 1, 2022, the FDA will discontinue providing plastic bags for baggage as part of its efforts to reduce single-use plastic products and protect the environment. If you require baggage to be packed, please inform a staff member.

Wheelchairs, folding strollers, portable cradles, and child seats used by passengers will be stored free of charge.

When checking in musical instruments, sports equipment (golf clubs, surfing equipment, scuba diving equipment, bicycles, etc.), or fragile items, we kindly ask for your cooperation in ensuring that these items are adequately packed for air transport.

Excess Baggage Charges

If your checked baggage weight exceeds 20kg and is less than 100kg, you will be charged the excess baggage fee.
However, if the weight of each piece exceeds 32kg, or if the total weight of each person exceeds 100kg, we will not be able to accept it.

Restricted carry-on/check-in baggage

Please note that there are items that cannot be brought on board or checked in as luggage.
Furthermore, by law, it is strictly prohibited to bring items that could be used as weapons, such as knives, onto the aircraft.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism website lists typical examples of items that cannot be brought on board or checked in, as well as items that can be brought on board or checked in under certain conditions.
Please check in advance whether any of your belongings constitute hazardous materials.
If you have any questions, please contact the FDA call center or the airport counter.

Please note that if any dangerous goods are detected at the security checkpoint, it may not be possible to determine whether or not the item can be carried on board or checked in by the time of boarding.

Large baggage such as musical instruments

If you wish to bring large items such as musical instruments into the cabin, an additional special passenger fee will be required. Also, some items, such as double basses, are not permitted. Please inform the FDA Call Center at 0570-55-0489 (open 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, 365 days a year) when making your reservation.

Notice/Information

Even in normal handling, we are not liable for damage caused by baggage overweight/overcapacity, damage caused by defects inherent to baggage such as deterioration, loss of protruding accessories such as detachable casters/straps/hooks/name tags/belts, and minor damage (scratches/cuts/dents/dirt). Please note that we will accept reports of damage or dirt within 3 days from the date of baggage delivery (arrival date).
