Lithium batteries have the potential to catch fire if subjected to shock or deterioration, so there are restrictions on transporting them by air.
However, general mobile phones, laptops, digital cameras, portable game devices, etc. may be carried on board or checked in.
Lithium batteries intended to power other electronic devices, including mobile batteries, are treated as spare batteries and cannot be checked in.
