Encounter a miraculous scene on the flower island of Rebun.
Rebun Island, a long, narrow island measuring approximately 26 km from north to south and 8 km from east to west, is a rare place where about 300 species of alpine plants, which on the mainland only grow at altitudes of 2000 meters or higher, can be seen right at sea level. The sight that can be seen after the harsh winter is truly inspiring, conveying the powerful force of life.

Enchanted by the clear blue
Located on the west coast of Rebun Island, Sumikai Cape is a popular spot for its stunning views of the clearest waters. After climbing the stairs to the observation deck, you'll find a cove surrounded by cliffs stretching out below. The sunlight changes the sea's hue from cobalt blue to jade green, making it a place you'll want to visit again and again.
This species is endemic to Rebun Island, and its flowering period is from late May to mid-June.

Maintaining the same worldview
"Kita no Kanaria Park," a filming location for the movie released in July 2013, retains the original filming scenery, including a single-story wooden school building and playground equipment, with Mount Rishiri rising in the distance across the sea as a backdrop. In addition to exhibits of photographs and costumes inside the school building, there is a cafe in the park where you can relax and take a break.
