The area around JR Nagasaki Station is undergoing a major renovation. A large commercial complex directly connected to the station, a hotel, and a stadium are scheduled to open in stages, so be sure to check the progress.

Glover Garden: A place full of exotic charm.
Glover Garden, located on a hill in Minami-Yamate, features nine Western-style buildings from the late Edo and Meiji periods. It offers plenty to see, including the "Former Glover Residence," the oldest existing wooden Western-style building in Japan. *Please note that due to seismic reinforcement and preservation work on the buildings, the viewing area has been partially altered.
