Hasami ware, a pottery producing region
One of the things that surprises visitors to Hasami Town is the fact that ceramics are produced everywhere in the town.
First, head to "Kurawan-kan," where you can find a wide variety of Hasami ware products. From traditional Japanese tableware to modern designs.
They are lined up in a row, and you're sure to find something you like! If you venture a little further, you'll find a row of old chimneys.
Visiting the pottery village of Nakao-yama is also highly recommended.
