Let's set off for Nagoya, a city with its own unique food culture and cultural heritage!
Nagoya Castle
When sightseeing in Nagoya, Nagoya Castle is an absolute must-see. Built in 1612 by Tokugawa Ieyasu as a defense against the Toyotomi clan at Osaka Castle, it boasts numerous attractions, including the main keep and gardens. Of particular note are the golden shachihoko (mythical fish-like creatures) on the main keep.
A life-size model is also on display, so be sure to check it out.
"Nagoya cuisine"
Because of its unique food culture, which includes soybean paste and tamari soy sauce, Nagoya cuisine, with its creative twists, is a must-try. From miso katsu (pork cutlet with plenty of miso sauce) to hitsumabushi (eel rice bowl) which can be enjoyed in three different ways, sweet and spicy chicken wings, kishimen noodles, and breakfast, there are so many tempting options that you'll be spoiled for choice!
Nagoya TV Tower
The Nagoya TV Tower, a symbol of Nagoya, was built in 1954. Now, having retired from its role as an analog broadcasting tower, it serves as an observation deck and shopping area. At night, it's illuminated, and from the observation deck, you can enjoy a beautiful night view. Enjoy the romantic atmosphere.
