"Farm Tomita"
If you're visiting Hokkaido, you absolutely must see the lavender fields of Furano. Farm Tomita is famous as the birthplace of lavender cultivation, and the sight of the hillside covered in purple lavender is said to be like being in a dream. After your stroll, enjoy some lavender soft serve ice cream at the cafe. The best time to visit is from early to late July.
It's like a jewel box from the sea.
When visiting Hokkaido, you absolutely must try the fresh seafood. Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, the Sea of Okhotsk, and the Sea of Japan, you'll be amazed by the abundance and affordability of seafood. Head to the markets to discover creamy sea urchins with a texture unlike anything you've ever tasted, and various types of crabs such as hairy crabs and king crabs!

Sapporo Garden Park
Sapporo Garden Park, with its beautiful red brick architecture dating back to the Meiji era, is a must-see. At the Sapporo Beer Museum, you can learn about the history of beer and enjoy freshly brewed beer delivered directly from the brewery. The Sapporo Beer Garden offers local Hokkaido specialties such as Jingisukan (grilled lamb) and crab. Enjoy a fulfilling day of eating and drinking!
Enjoy the night view of Sapporo
Sapporo's night view is considered one of Japan's new top three night views. Numerous spots for enjoying the nightscape are scattered throughout the city. Among them, Mt. Moiwa, at an altitude of 531m, is particularly popular due to its convenient access from Sapporo Station. From the summit, you can see the vast Ishikari Plain stretching all the way to the sea. The cityscape, sparkling like a kaleidoscope, is so breathtaking that you'll want to visit again and again.
Immerse yourself in the retro scenery
Otaru, which flourished as a trading port during the Meiji and Taisho periods, still retains many canals and stone warehouses. With glass workshops contributing to its nostalgic atmosphere, as well as restaurants and shops scattered throughout, it's perfect for a stroll. The canals are also beautifully illuminated at night, making it a highly recommended destination.

Explore on a cruise!
Hokkaido's "Blue Grotto" is located in the marine park area of the Niseko-Shakotan-Otaru Coast National Park. It's called the Blue Grotto because the sea is so clear that sunlight shines into the cave, making the surface of the water glow blue. Embark on a cruise boat adventure inside this cave! The cruises operate from late April to late September, so be sure to check the schedule.
Northern Horse Park
Northern Horse Park in Tomakomai City is a ranch where you can interact with horses.
